This video was created in the late 1950’s or early 1960’s as a means of getting communities to start a community theatre. It provides some history of the community or little theatre movement and discusses how to start a community theatre. The video is shot in Mississippi and highlights several community theatres in Mississippi including Gulfport Little Theatre, Panola Playhouse, Bay St. Louis, and New Stage Theatre before it became a professional theatre. The video has a cameo appearance by John Carradine.

Former MTA President Robert (Bob) Cannon sent the film to Stephen Cunetto who had it converted to a DVD and put it online.  Thanks to Bob for saving this gem!!
