2011 MTA Festival Results

The 2011 festival was a success!  We had over 550 people attending the festival.  We had 7 high schools competing, 8 community theatres and 8 theatre participating in the Theatre for Youth Festival. All in all, it was a wonderful theatre weekend. 

The following is a listing of the awards presented during the awards ceremony. 

Community Theatre Division:

The Warren McDaniel Award for Best Production: Just over the Rainbow Theatre – Driving Miss Daisy

First Runner Up, Best Production: Starkville Community Theatre – The Dixie Swim Club

Second Runner Up, Best Production:  Actor’s Playhouse – Edges

Best Ensemble:  Actor’s Playhouse – Edges

Best Supporting Actor: Blake Dailey – Actor’s Playhouse (Edges)

Best Supporting Actress: Terry Reese McDowell – Starkville Community Theatre (The Dixie Swim Club)
