2007 High School Drama Festival

On November 30 and December 1, MSU and USM hosted the High School Drama Festivals for the North, Southeast and Southwest regions.  Thirty-five high schools participated in the festivals. Eighteen participated in the North Region, eight in the southwest and nine in the southeast regions. 
 
Congratulations to all of the theatres that participated in the festival. I know that all the theatres worked very hard to prepare for the festival. 
 
Those theatres that will be advancing to the state festival being held January 10-13, 2008 in Hattiesburg, MS are as follows:
 
North Region
  • Starkville High School
  • Oxford High School
  • Louisville High School
Southwest Region
  • Oak Grove High School
  • Hancock High School
  • Pearl River Central High School
Southeast Region
  • WINGS, Lynn Meadows Discovery Center
  • Brandon High School
  • Hattiesburg High School

After attending the SE and SW festivals, I can tell you that there were some excellent productions at these festival.  It is really amazing the amount of talented students and teacher we have in Mississippi.  Congratulations to all of these theatres.
