SETC State Auditions:

Each March SETC hosts combined Professional Auditions for approximately 100 professional hiring theatres as part of the annual convention. SETC requires that all pre-professional actors (students and adults) be screened on the state level before being accepted to the auditions in March.

Application opens August 20.

Audition date: December 6-7, 2009: Hinds Community College, Raymond, MS. December 6 will be for IN-STATE auditionees and December 7 will be for OUT-OF-REGION auditionees.

Encourage your students to audition for SETC State Auditions. This is their opportunity to audition for hundreds of professional companies looking for talented students.
  College/University High School Auditions: January 15, 2009, Natchez Little Theatre, Natchez, MS

This event is part of the Mississippi Theatre Association's Annual Festival. During the event college/university theatres can audition high school seniors and juniors wanting to major in Theatre. Also, for the first time, community college students will be allowed to audition.

  Mississippi Theatre Association's State Festival, January 15 - 18, 2008. Hosted by Natchez Little Theatre, Natchez, MS.
  College/University theatre faculty should consider conducting workshops for the MTA Festival held in January. If you are interested - contact Stephen Cunetto.
  If your department has new faculty added since the fall of 2007, please send a list with all new faculty including mailing and email addresses to Stephen Cunetto at scunetto@bellsouth.net. They will be added to the MTA listserv and the MTA database.If you are interested in serving as an adjudicator for one of the 3 high school regional festivals, please send an email to Stephen Cunetto at scunetto@bellsouth.net.
